Job Description

Speech-Language Pathologist Speak N Play Therapy Lake Wylie, SC 29710 Overview Speak N Play Therapy provides high-quality, play-based speech therapy for children in the early intervention community. We believe therapy should be fun, engaging, and effective. As a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) , you’ll create your own flexible schedule and work with children ages 0-6 in their homes, daycares, and preschools. Your role will include conducting assessments, developing personalized treatment plans, and using play-based techniques to help children develop communication skills, build confidence, and meet developmental milestones. You’ll collaborate with families and professionals to ensure therapy is both enjoyable and impactful. Duties Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech, language, and communication abilities. Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and specific needs. Implement therapeutic interventions to improve communication skills, including articulation, fluency, and language comprehension. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, educators, and families to support patient care and progress. Provide early intervention services for pediatric patients to address developmental delays. Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes. Educate patients and families on strategies to enhance communication skills outside of therapy sessions. Stay updated with the latest research and techniques in speech therapy. Requirements Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program. Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist. ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred, but not required. Experience or knowledge in pediatrics, particularly in early intervention settings. Strong communication skills and creativity in tailoring therapy. Familiarity with patient assessment techniques and effective treatment methodologies. Understanding of anatomy and physiology related to speech production and language processing. Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and team members. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
