Position:
Speech-Language Pathologist (Full-time) Full-time Speech-Language Pathologist position with benefits 200-day contract with the possibility of additional hours of employment during the summer during Extended School Year (ESY) Start date: July 2025 according to certified employee calendar Complete online application on Maryville City Schools website, Application deadline May 12, 2025 (or until filled) This position will be positioned at the district’s Early Intervention Center which is presently located on the campus of John Sevier Elementary School. However, this position may include other SLP-related assignments which may include travel. Therefore, personal transportation will be required, and any work-related travel will be reimbursed at the state’s current mileage reimbursement rate.

Job Expectations:
Provide high-quality, evidenced-based speech and language therapy to students identified with communication disabilities and delays Provide therapy in a variety of settings to target functional communication and promote training for other staff members to facilitate carryover of newly learned communication skills; This includes the ability to lead whole-class, large-group communication therapy sessions Conduct speech-language evaluations according to TNDOE guidelines and MCS procedures; Conduct evaluations in coordination with other disciplines Develop, modify, and follow Individualized Education Programs (IEP) Accurately track therapy attendance and student progress on IEP goals Provide high-quality teacher consultation and participate in school-based data review teams to support student success Follow state and school district procedures for submitting paperwork and maintaining confidentiality Act as case manager for students with IEPs as appropriate and provide full case management support Utilize balance and flexibility in planning, travel, attending meetings, and completing paperwork Follow all IDEA and TNDOE timeline requirements for special education evaluations and IEP meetings Ability to perform any physical duties associated with this position (e.g., lifting up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, sitting for long periods of time, walking or standing for extended periods of time, etc.) Willingness to attend training and professional development on topics related to the field of speech pathology to support high-quality instruction Qualities of a
