Responsibilities:
As a Speech Language Pathologist, you helppatients get their power back . You are the person who can helppeople communicate, swallow, and work to diminish or remediatedisorders or deficits. In doing this, you take responsibility forthe effective and efficient delivery of rehab services, you designthe plan, and work with patients to execute those plans. You’re ahealer and a helper, which is why you got into this line of work.
You’re equally adept at addressing the whole patient and seeingthem as an individual, and you know your goal is the design of aprogram that will restore, reinforce, and enhance their speech andcommunication abilities. You’re adaptable to the needs of thepatient and can find joy in the variety of the work and thesettings. From cleaning equipment to reporting to meetings, youthrive in a setting that keeps you moving through your day. You’rea teammate and are looking for collaboration with your peers, butyou’re also happy to make referrals to help your patient get thecare they need to thrive. You know that being a Speech LanguagePathologist means you’re a teacher who can train patients andcaregivers on the skills they need to promote independence andproductivity. Qualifications:
Qualifications 1. A Master’s degree inSpeech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, CommunicativeDisorders or similarly-titled area that is consistent andacceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. 2.A Certificate of Clinical Competence from the AmericanSpeech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or be eligible toparticipate as an ASHA Clinical Fellow. We will also acceptcandidates who are eligible to obtain the Certificate of ClinicalCompetence. 3. Licensed, certified or credentialed, as required inthe state of practice.
Posted Salary Range:
USD $40.00 – USD $43.00/Hr.
