Position Overview:
Sandpiper Speech Therapy is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our small but growing team. This is a W2 employee position, paying $30-$35/hour , based on experience. The role offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to work in a nurturing, boutique-style setting that prioritizes individualized care and professional growth. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience working in a pediatric private practice setting and a passion for helping children thrive through creative, evidence-based therapy.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech and language therapy services to pediatric clients under the supervision of a licensed SLP. Follow treatment plans and therapeutic goals developed by the supervising SLP. Document therapy sessions, maintain progress notes, and communicate regularly with the supervising SLP. Collaborate with families to support generalization of therapy goals in the home setting. Support a positive and organized therapy environment with creativity, warmth, and professionalism. Participate in professional development opportunities to expand your skills.
Qualifications:
Valid Florida SLPA license. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a pediatric private practice setting. Strong understanding of child development, speech-language disorders, and play-based intervention. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit. Ability to work independently while following the guidance of a supervising SLP.
