Category Schools – SLPA Job Type Contract This position is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) with experience in both school and healthcare settings. Serving K-12 students, this role focuses on supporting speech and language development within a school environment. The position is based in High Point, NC, and offers a contract assignment for the entire school year.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in implementing treatment plans for students with speech and language disorders. Conduct speech and language screenings and collect data to monitor student progress. Support individualized education programs (IEPs) through therapy sessions and classroom collaboration. Communicate effectively with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to promote student success. Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) with experience in school and healthcare settings. Familiarity with K-12 speech and language therapy protocols and educational standards. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. Knowledge of data collection procedures and progress monitoring. Ability to follow established treatment plans and demonstrate flexibility in adapting to students’ needs.
