We are currently seeking a dedicated and qualified School Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team for the remainder of the 23-24 school year. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a school setting near Elm City, North Carolina. Interviews are being conducted now to secure the ideal candidate.
Responsibilities:
Assist in conducting assessments and screenings to identify speech and language disorders in students
Implement speech and language therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students’ communication development and academic success
Assist in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and objectives
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field
Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in an educational setting
