POSITION DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Speech-Language Assistant (SLA) to join our team. The SLA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to support students with speech and language disorders. This role involves implementing therapy activities, supporting classroom communication, and assisting in the progress monitoring of students from Kindergarten through Grade 3.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement speech and language intervention activities as directed by the SLP. Assist with individual and small group sessions focusing on articulation, fluency, voice, and language skills. Support classroom teachers with strategies to improve communication and language development. Monitor and document student progress and report findings to the SLP. Prepare therapy materials and maintain accurate records of sessions. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to address student needs. Follow all school policies and confidentiality requirements.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree or higher; NH State Certification or ability to become certified required; Applicant must be able to pass a State and Federal Criminal Background check;
