Job Description:
Performs a variety of tasks related to cleaning, decontamination, assembly, sterilization and distribution of equipment, instrumentation and supplies required by medical, nursing and paramedical personnel for the care, diagnosis and treatment of patients. Qualifications Minimum Requirements Education High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience Previous experience in a health care related position required. Licensure, Certification, Registration Must complete CPD training within 12 months and Instrument Training within 18 months, and obtain Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification within 24 months. Language Skills Must be able to read and speak English Preferred Requirements Education Associate’s Degree. Experience Prior sterile processing experience; Medical terminology Licensure, Certification, Registration CSPDT or CRCST Certification upon hire. Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements Ability to read and understand oral and written instructions, and effectively communicate information. Basic computer skills (including email, basic internet use, entry and retrieval of information). Ability to follow detailed instructions, organizes complicated technical assignments, work well under pressure and maintain confidentiality. Requires the ability to recognize problem situations and refer them to the appropriate staff member. We take great care of careers.
