Central Sterile Tech Description:
We are excited to invite you to join our dedicated team at Piedmont Newton. We are currently seeking a full-time professional to fill a position with the following schedule: 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM, four days a week, with a rotating off-day each week. This position also requires on-call duties, including shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on weekends and holidays. The on-call schedule includes one weekend per month, with holiday call rotation requiring staff to take 2-3 holiday calls per year. We look forward to the opportunity to welcome you to our team.
RESPONSIBLE FOR
Maintains recommended standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing surgical instruments in an accurate and timely manner. Performs sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment. Collaborates with the Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets, equipment and case carts in an accurate and timely manner. Assists in maintaining consistent and continuous work flow, providing superior customer service.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED
High School graduate or
GED. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Certification as a Central Sterile Tech or 3 years of Central Sterile experience required.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW
None.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Central Service Processing Technician Certification, OR Surgical Tech Certification preferred. Position Information
