Certified Sterile Processing Technician Center for Robotic Surgery 4715 South I 10 Service Road West, Metairie, LA 70001 Job Summary The Sterile Processing Technician plays a crucial role in the healthcare environment by ensuring that all surgical instruments and medical equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and maintained. This position requires a keen attention to detail and a strong understanding of sterile processing techniques to support the safety and efficiency of patient care. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology, along with skills in aseptic technique and inventory management. Responsibilities Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment according to established protocols. Inspect instruments for cleanliness and proper functioning before use. Maintain accurate inventory records of sterile supplies and equipment. Utilize aseptic techniques to prevent contamination during processing. Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure timely availability of sterilized instruments for procedures. Follow safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Participate in ongoing education and training related to sterile processing practices. Qualifications Knowledge of sterile processing procedures and best practices.
