Job Description
Sterile Processing Tech – Local Contract 4.2 4.2 out of 5 stars Holmdel, NJ WCS Healthcare is urgently seeking a Sterile Processing Tech for a state of the art health care system in Holmdel, NJ.
Job Function:
Day Shift. 5×8: 9am – 5:30pm. Disassembles, cleans, sterilizes, reassembles, and packages sterile supplies following specifications and manufacturer instructions. Applies appropriate sterilization methods for various instruments according to department procedures. Operates washers, sterilizers, ultrasonic machines, steam and ethylene oxide sterilizers, heat sealers, and other related equipment. Adheres strictly to instrument count sheets for surgical sets and case carts.
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required. Certified Registered Central Sterile Technician (CRCST) or Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) certification required. Knowledge of aseptic and sterilization techniques, infection control standards, and basic medical/surgical procedure terminology. 1 year of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician.
