Duration:

13-week assignment with potential for multiple extensions We areseeking a Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) to support surgicalservices by ensuring that all surgical instruments and medicalequipment are properly cleaned, decontaminated, sterilized, anddistributed in accordance with regulatory standards and hospitalprotocols. This role is critical in maintaining patient safety andsupporting operating room functions. Clean, decontaminate,sterilize, and assemble surgical instruments, medical devices, andequipment Operate sterilizers (Steam, ETO, Sterrad, Steris) andensure correct biological and Bowie Dick test procedures areperformed and documented Utilize computerized instrument trackingsystems and count sheets Assemble case carts based on surgeonpreference cards and confirm availability of required equipment andsupplies Notify surgical staff of missing or delayed items andassist in troubleshooting equipment or inventory issues Maintainsterilization records and labeling accuracy per departmentalprocedures Distribute sterile equipment and supplies throughoutdepartments Lift up to 50 lbs., push/pull up to 60 lbs., and standfor long periods during shifts Adhere to infection control,universal precautions, and appropriate PPE usage at all times
