Description:

Very large, busy state of the art off-site reprocessing center providing sterile processing services for multiple facilities including tertiary sites and ambulatory surgery centers. Facility also provides emergency services for the area. Supervises and coordinates the staff and daily operations of Central Sterile services. Ensures staff compliance with sterilization techniques, policies, and procedures. Ensures sterilization activities are properly documented and participates in the maintenance of department records. Serves as a liaison between Central Sterile department and perioperative areas, coordinating activities and resolving problems as they arise. Ensures proper care and handling of all instrumentation received through decontamination area. Accepting and tagging of fast tracks. Assigning employees to their job tasks every day and moving them around when needed.
