Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Sterile Supply Technician for a 13-week contract in Syracuse, NY . This is a critical role in supporting patient care through the effective sterilization and preparation of surgical instruments. The position operates during weekday daytime hours with no nights, weekends, or call requirements .

Key Responsibilities:

Perform the full cycle of decontamination, disinfection, and sterilization for surgical instruments and trays Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques and infection control standards Assemble surgical sets (both simple and complex) with accuracy and efficiency Operate cleaning and sterilization equipment, including steam autoclaves, Steris, and Sterrad systems Conduct and document routine quality assurance checks Respond quickly to emergent requests from clinical teams to ensure continuity of patient care Maintain accurate logs of sterilization and decontamination cycles for regulatory compliance

Qualifications:

Completion of a nationally accredited Central Service Technician exam and certification as a

CRCST , OR

at least 1 year of relevant work experience in a healthcare facility as a Central Service Technician BLS Certification (American Heart Association preferred) Proof of

COVID-19

vaccination Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining sterile field standards
