Full Job Description Overview:
The Surgical Support Attendant works under the direction of the RN/Licensed Practical Nurse. Responsibilities include providing direct patient care, transporting patients, and maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the unit. The Attendant demonstrates the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds, to set and manage multiple priorities, and to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:
Education:
High School Diploma/GED required.
Experience:
Previous patient care experience preferred.
Additional Skills/Abilities:
Ability to communicate in English with people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds. Ability to work under stress. Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment. BLS required before the conclusion of the orientation period.
