In this critical role, you will work alongside surgeons and other healthcare professionals in a fast-paced operating room environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and aseptic techniques, as well as experience in critical care settings. This position is essential for ensuring the highest level of patient care during surgical procedures. Responsibilities Assist surgeons during operations by providing direct support and ensuring the surgical field is maintained. Help the circulating nurse and the scrub tech to prepare the operating room, as needed ensuring all necessary supplies are available for the surgery. Utilize aseptic techniques to minimize infection risks and maintain a sterile environment. Perform suturing and assist with wound closure as directed by the surgeon. Help during induction as needed. Position and prep patient as needed. Drape patient with the help of scrub tech or surgeon. Maintain knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology to effectively communicate within the surgical team. Requirements The applicant MUST have a strong experience in minimally invasive surgery. The applicant MUST have over 200 cases in Laparoscopic surgery (Bariatric surgery is a plus) to be considered in the position. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and critical care systems. Experience working in plastic surgery is a MUST, this means a lot of aesthetic suturing in a fast phased environment. Proficiency in aseptic techniques and suture methods is a MUST. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively in emergency situations. Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and maintaining professional standards.
