Job Description
Laboratory Assistant – Surgical Pathology Pathologists’ Medical Laboratory, PA Asheville, NC 28803 We have an immediate need for a detailed oriented individual to work in our surgical pathology area. This is a first shift position, beginning at 9 a.m. or 9:30 a.m. This individual will be responsible for accessioning, assisting grossing techs with creating cassettes and slides, assisting histotechs as needed, sorting and preparing work for pathologists, scanning documents and other assorted duties as required. The appropriate candidate must demonstrate attention to detail, the ability to identify discrepancies in information when present, good decision making skills and be a team player.
