Responsibilities:
Assist surgeons during operative and invasive procedures Prepare and maintain sterile field before and during surgery Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and pass instruments and supplies Close incisions and perform other duties under the direction of the surgeon Ensure proper care and maintenance of surgical instruments Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations
Requirements:
Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) or equivalent certification BLS certification (ACLS preferred) Minimum 2 years of recent experience in surgical first assisting Proficiency in various surgical procedures Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
