Copley Hospital, located in Morrisville/Stowe VT, is in searchof an OR Service Aide to join our team! Performs a wide variety ofduties to assist nursing staff in the care of the surgical patient.
Maintains a safe and clean environment for the patient at all timesunder the direction of qualified operating room personnel.

Follows established guidelines for cleaning and housekeeping ofthe peri-operative unit. Handles chemicals and solutions per departmental/MSDSstandards. Knows how to operate applicable equipment and demonstrates anawareness and accountability of own actions. Maintain OR Room stock par levels established by unit manager.
Assist stockroom personnel with stockroom orders as requested bymanager Maintains a safe environment through appropriate placement ofequipment supplies and reporting all broken malfunctions ofequipment Observes and follows Isolation Techniques in accordance withInfection Control Policy. Stocks blanket warmer and linen cabinet in
- the Surgery Centersuite.
Uses time constructively.
Appropriately prioritizes tasks. Adheres to aseptic principles when assisting with patient prepand all procedures. Adheres to standard precautions in performing daily tasks. Cleans all assigned areas and storage cabinets using thecleaning procedure as taught in orientation to the perioperativearea. Cleans and sanitizes the OR suites after blood and body fluidspills, using proper techniques per Infection Control Policy andProcedures. Cleans equipment used for proper storage afteruse. Consistently uses proper personal protective equipment. Donsgloves when cleaning and washes hand thoroughly throughout the dayin adherence to hospital policy. Demonstrates an ability to perform in a crisis and emergencysituation when time is essential. Demonstrates courteous, polite, friendly and cooperativebehavior towards others . Demonstrates flexibility in patient care approach andencourages patient involvement. Demonstrates respect for the dignity and confidentiality of thepatient.
