$43hr • PRN Shifts (Block Schedulingpossibility) 6a-3p 8-hour shifts Description of the job: TheCertified Surgical Technician job at USPI Physicians of Knoxvilleinvolves overseeing patient safety and supporting the surgical teamduring procedures. Key duties include managing the sterileenvironment, ensuring surgical equipment is prepared, documentingthe surgery, and serving as a liaison between the patient andsurgical staff

Qualifications:

Current BLS certifications (AHAcertification required) Current NBSTSA Certification Required 2year experience required Experience in the following surgeries:

Orthopedics, total joint experience (Required), mostly adult, butsome teens for Ortho and joint, Colon and Rectal, ENT, General,Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Urology/ Mostof the cases are Adult but also handle minimal ENT Pediatric cases.

Responsibilities:

Patient Advocacy:

Verify patient identity,confirm the surgical site, and ensure consent is documented.

Maintaining Sterility:

Ensure aseptic techniques are followed andmaintain a sterile environment during surgery

Instrument and SupplyManagement:

Oversee surgical instruments, ensuring they areavailable, sterile, and in good condition

Documentation:

Accuratelyrecord all aspects of the surgical procedure, including teammembers and any complications

Communication:

Act as a liaisonbetween the surgical team and the patient’s family, keeping allparties informed

Safety Monitoring:
