Sexton & Weiskopf Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in Memphis, Tennessee is seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Assistant to join our team. We are committed to providing exceptional patient care in a warm and welcoming environment. Duties and Responsibilities Assist the Oral Surgeon during various surgical procedures. Prepare treatment rooms following prescribed protocols to maintain a sterile environment. Capture high-quality dental x-rays for diagnostic purposes. Review and accurately document patient health history. Serve as an infection control officer, esnuring strict adherance to sterilization and infection control protocols. Help patients feel at ease before, during, and after treatment. Provide clear post-operative instructions to patients following surgery or other procedures. Record doctor’s notes and vital signs during consultations and procedures. Perform administrative and office management tasks using computer systems. Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of professionalism. Excel at multitasking and prioritizing tasks in a dynamic environment.

Requirements:

1+ years of Dental and/or Surgical Assistant experience is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent time management and organizational abilities. Professional demeanor with a strong attention to detail and punctuality. Comfortable using computers for various administrative tasks. Eager to learn, grow, and adapt to new challenges. Willingness to cross-train and assist with front office duties as needed.
