Schedule:
Labor and Delivery Surgical Tech, PRN as needed, schedule and shift vary, requires call.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED, required. Completion of a formal Surgical Technologist program or comparable previous surgical technology experience. Scrubbing experience obtained either through completion of a formal surgical technology program or previous scrub experience, preferred.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for assisting Physicians during procedures by having all instruments, equipment, and supplies needed for surgical procedures. The primary focus of this position is that of scrubbing in procedures and passing instruments to the Surgeon. The Surgical Technologist may act as second assistant when required to do so. The Surgical Technologist may participate in precepting of other Surgical Technologists.
