In this role, you will assist surgeons during complex cardiovascular surgeries by preparing the operating room, managing instruments, and maintaining a sterile environment to ensure successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare the operating room by ensuring all necessary instruments and equipment are sterilized and ready for use during cardiovascular procedures. Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments, holding retractors, or handling specimens for lab analysis. Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgery by adhering to strict infection control protocols. Monitor inventory levels of surgical supplies and ensure timely restocking as needed for upcoming procedures. Collaborate with the surgical team to anticipate needs during procedures and respond effectively to any emergencies or complications that arise. Assist with patient positioning, draping, and preparation before surgery begins. Document procedures accurately and ensure proper handling of surgical instruments post-operation for cleaning and sterilization.
