Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program. Certification (CST) preferred but not required. Current BLS certification. Previous experience in an outpatient or hospital OR setting is required The surgical technologist II functions in a perioperative surgical technologist role under the direction of the circulating Registered Nurse. Able to prioritize, organize and implement care of the surgical patient in a variety of specialties. Performs call obligations as assigned.

Requirements Education:

High School graduate or equivalent, and graduate of accredited program for surgical technologists or accredited vocational school of nursing.

Experience:

Previous experience in an outpatient or hospital OR setting is required.

Certification:

BLS (Basic Life Support) through the AHA (American Heart Association) required. CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) through the NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) preferred.
