Job Description Summary Assists RN and ORT/scrub in roomturnovers before, after, and end of day operative procedures.

Organizes instrumentation and disposables for surgical procedure,ensuring all necessary supplies are assembled on the case cartprior to the procedure. Opens sterile supplies, instruments, anddisposables, using sterile technique, in accordance with AORNStandards & Recommended Practices. Assist O.R. RN and ORT/scrubafter case cleanup (i.e. mopping room, wiping horizontal surfaces,changing linen, discarding trash/used linen, changing anesthesiadisposable circuit, suction disposal and setup) and stocking rooms,according to established PAR levels. Works in conjunction with RNas to equipment needed for next case. Takes call as needed.

Assembles case carts daily, gathers instrumentation and disposablesoff established/handwritten surgeon preference cards/pick lists.
