Summary:

The Surgical Technologist is a member of the health care team who performs technical support in the perioperative period under the direction and supervision of a RN according to accepted clinical standards of care. The Staffing Resource Office (SRO) offers 13-26-week assignments where you are assigned to one hospital in our system. Assignment placement is based on needs of the system. System Pool 13-week assignments. Seasonal Pool 13-week assignments which have a mileage eligibility. High School or Equivalent and completion of an Accredited Surgical Technology Program and 1-year surgical technician experience OR High School or Equivalent and completion of a military or hospital-based training program with 5 years acute care Surgical Tech experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required:

1-year surgical technology experience in hospital setting with NBSTSA certification; Or – 5 years’ experience if no certification . High School or Equivalent Technical Diploma or Associates in Surgical Technology BLS (Basic Life Support) Required Skills also includes Knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, equipment, and sterile field set-up.
