RequiredQualifications:

• One year of recent experience as a CVORsurgical tech/n/t
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ ARC)/n/n/n

Preferred Qualifications:

• CST or nationallyrecognized equivalent certification/n/t
• Other certifications andlicenses may be required for this position/n /n/n

Summary:

/n/n CVORsurgical technologists facilitates the safe and effective executionof cardiovascular surgical procedures under the supervision of thesurgeon. They are responsible for preparing the operating room,maintaining sterile environments, ensuring equipment functionality,and anticipating the needs of the surgical team to maximize patientsafety and procedural efficiency. /n/n

Essential Work Functions:

/n/n/n/t

• Set up the operating room prior to surgical procedures/n/t
• Stock surgical supplies and inspect surgical machines and equipmentto ensure proper functionality prior to procedures/n/t
• Assist inTransporting patients to and from surgery as required/n/t
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, andthe surgical team to deliver coordinated care/n/t
• Anticipatingthe surgeon’s needs and efficiently passing instruments areessential for maintaining procedural flow/n/t
• Handle specimenswith precision and care to maintain diagnostic integrity and followinstitutional protocols/n/t
• Collaborate with other health teammembers to ensure seamless surgical workflow/n/t
• Maintainsterility by cleaning and sterilizing instruments and equipment incompliance with infection control standards/n/t
• Utilize data fromsurgical preference cards for the surgical procedure andsurgeon/n/t
• Maintain proficiency in cardiovascular andcardiothoracic surgical procedures, including open and closed heartsurgeries/n/t
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scopeof practice/n/t
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infectioncontrol guidelines, and regulatory standards/n /n/n
