Surgical Technologist – CVOR Position Available In Cobb, Georgia

Job Description:

Surgical Technologist – CVOR (Day Shift) This full-time roleinvolves assisting in surgical procedures within the cardiovascularoperating room (CVOR). The Certified Surgical Technologist supportsthe healthcare team by maintaining sterile fields, preparinginstruments, and ensuring efficient surgical processes.

CoreResponsibilities:

Surgical Support & Patient Care:

Sets up surgicalequipment, supplies, and instruments in a sterile environment.

Assists with gowning, draping, and passing instruments to thesurgeon during procedures. Anticipates surgical needs andproactively plans for procedural progression. Maintains steriletechnique and patient safety protocols.

Equipment & Compliance:

Troubleshoots surgical instruments and maintains operating roomorganization. Ensures regulatory compliance, including infectionprevention and safety standards. Participates in performanceimprovement initiatives and supports evidence-based practices.

Education & Professional Development:

Provides mentorship andtraining for new surgical technologists. Maintains continuingeducation requirements and competency assessments. Supportsinterdisciplinary collaboration and assists with inventorymanagement.

Qualifications:

Education:

High school diploma orequivalent, plus certification as a Surgical Technologist.

Licenses& Certifications:

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or LicensedPractical Nurse, BLS required.

Experience:

CVOR surgical techexperience required.

Skills:

Strong attention to detail,multitasking, teamwork, and adaptability.

Schedule & AdditionalDetails:

Shift:

Three 12-hour shifts per week, including two lateshifts.

On-Call Requirement:

Based on unit needs.
