The client is seeking a dedicatedand skilled Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join ourdynamic Operating Room team. In this vital role, you will assist insurgical procedures by ensuring a sterile environment, preparinginstruments, and supporting the surgical team throughoutoperations. We are looking for a team player who thrives in afast-paced clinical setting and is committed to patient safety andservice excellence.
Reports To:
OR Nurse Manager or ClinicalSupervisor Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the operating room bysetting up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile drapes.
- Assist surgeons and other team members during procedures by passinginstruments and supplies.
- Maintain the sterile field and monitorfor breaks in aseptic technique.
- Count instruments, sponges, andsupplies before and after procedures according to policy.
- Handlespecimens properly and ensure accurate labeling.
- Assist with roomturnover, cleaning, and prepping for the next case.
- Participatein performance improvement initiatives and adhere to infectioncontrol protocols.
- Communicate effectively with surgical teammembers to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
- Uphold allhospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory compliancerequirements.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Graduate of anaccredited Surgical Technology program.
Certification:
- CertifiedSurgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA required.
- Basic LifeSupport (BLS) certification required.
Experience:
- Priorexperience in an acute care hospital or operating room preferred,but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile technique, and ORprotocols.
- Excellent communication, attention to detail, andproblem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm and efficient inhigh-pressure situations.
