Piedmont Henry – Operating Room SurgicalTechnologist PRN – Variable Shifts
RESPONSIBLE FOR
Facilitatingpatient care by assisting the physician during surgery in theOperating Room (OR) for multiple specialties, performing technicaland some patient care duties under the direction of a RegisteredNurse. Functions as a clinical specialist across numerous servicespecialty lines. Assumes additional responsibilities formaintaining surgical specialties as necessary and serves as aresource. Functions on a more global level and is more involved indetailed surgical endeavors related to the surgery department.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED
High School Diploma orGED. Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program or LPN program.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Surgical Tech Certification and 3years of experience required. In lieu of Surgical Techcertification, 7 years of experience can be substituted forcertification for a total requirement of 10 years Surgical Techexperience.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW
Current GA LPN License if applicable.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Certification as a Surgical Technologist Required or Licensed as anLPN required. BLS certification required.
