Position Summary:

/nThe Surgical Technician demonstrates basic knowledge and skills inthe scrub role, necessary to provide assistance during surgicalprocedures. /n

Responsibilities:

/n The Surgical Technician isresponsible for aseptic technique, setting up the requiredequipment, instrumentation and sterile supplies as needed for theirassigned cases; scrubbing and passing instruments and equipmentduring surgical procedures; pulling cases as needed, breaking downcases at the end of the procedure, sets up operating room andsupplies needed for day/following day’s schedule. Available forcall on an assigned scheduled basis as required by unit need. Whenneed arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor./n

Graduate of surgicaltechnician program as required by state regulation of practice orpolicy. /n

Surgical Technology Certification. /n /n Tenet complieswith federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatoryvaccination of its workforce.
