PRN, as needed The ASC Surgical Technologist is expected to work inan operating suite for the center. The ASC Surgical Technologist isable to function as a team member in an ASC environment throughcross-training to other primary areas, assisting with turnover, andall other aspects of day-to-day ASC operations. Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma orGED, required. Graduate of an accredited School of SurgicalTechnology program or Military Training Equivalent (68D – OperatingRoom Specialist). For incumbents who are not graduates of anaccredited School of Surgical Technology or have certificationplease see additional skills required. Online Surgical Tech programcredits will not be accepted.
Experience:
Previous SurgicalTechnologist experience, preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
Current Surgical Tech certification, preferred. Additional Skills(required): For incumbents who are not graduates of an accreditedSchool of Surgical Technology or have certification the followingadditional requirements apply: new graduates must obtaincertification within 12months of hire. Ability to successfullycomplete generic and department-specific skill validation andcompetency testing. Demonstrate effective and appropriate customerservice skills, verbal and nonverbal communication techniques,interpersonal relationship skills, and time management skills.
Additional Skills (preferred): One to two years of experience insterile processing or equivalent training if assigned solely tosterile processing.
