JOB SUMMARY
The Certified Surgical Technologist is an allied health professional who works in our Operating room delivering surgical patient care and is clinically supervised by a physician or registered nurse. The CST prepares and provides sterile supplies, instruments, and equipment during surgical procedures, and services patients needing surgical interventions ranging from infant to geriatric.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
+ Associate’s degree in a Surgical Technologist or equivalent accredited program preferred. If not certified, must submit an application for the Associates of Surgical Technologists national certification exam within the first 90 days of employment. + American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certification required + Accepting new graduates
OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED
+ Potential long work hours due to emergencies and long surgical cases. + Must be able to work in a high-paced environment where multitasking, prioritizing, and sound decision-making skills are required. + Consistent attendance is required due to the critical nature of this position.
