JOB SUMMARY

The Certified Surgical Technologist is an allied health professional who works in our Operating room delivering surgical patient care and is clinically supervised by a physician or registered nurse. The CST prepares and provides sterile supplies, instruments, and equipment during surgical procedures, and services patients needing surgical interventions ranging from infant to geriatric.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Associate’s degree in a Surgical Technologist or equivalent accredited program preferred. If not certified, must submit an application for the Associates of Surgical Technologists national certification exam within the first 90 days of employment.
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certification required
Accepting new graduates

OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED

Potential long work hours due to emergencies and long surgical cases.
Must be able to work in a high-paced environment where multitasking, prioritizing, and sound decision-making skills are required.
Consistent attendance is required due to the critical nature of this position.
