Job Summary and Qualifications Role Summary:

Provides direct patient care by assisting the surgeon in achievingdesired surgical outcomes. Aids perioperative team by scrubbing andcaring for the patient before, during and after surgicalintervention.

What qualifications you will need:

Required Education:

Surgical Technologist with less than 5 years

Surgical Technologistexperience:

graduate of an approved Surgical Technologist coursewith an Associate of Science in Surgical Technology or AppliedScience Surgical Technologist with 5 or more years SurgicalTechnologist experience: None LPN in Surgical Technologist rolewith less than 5 years Surgical Technologist experience: graduateof an accredited LPN program with an Associate of Science inSurgical Technology or Applied Science LPN with 5 or more yearsSurgical Technologist experience:

NonePreferred Education:

Associate of Science in Surgical Technology or AppliedScience.

Required License:

Surgical Technologist:

Current BCLScertification. Certification is to be obtained within one year ofdate of hire for individuals hired after August 1, 2007.

LPN inSurgical Technologist role:

Current BCLS certification. Current NClicense. Certification is to be obtained within one year of date ofhire.

Required Experience:

Surgical Technologist:

Three yearssurgical technician experience with an Associate of Science inSurgical Technology or Applied Science OR Five years surgicaltechnologist experience in an operating room setting.

LPN inSurgical Technologist role:

three years surgical technologistexperience with an Associate of Science in Surgical Technology orApplied Science OR five years surgical technologist experience inan operating room setting
