Job Description:

Overview:

The Surgical Technician, Labor and Delivery I is anintegral part of the team of medical practitioners providingsurgical and patient care. Functions under the supervision of asurgeon or registered nurse to ensure that the operating roomenvironment is safe, that equipment functions properly, and thatthe operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximizepatient safety. Assists with patients in triage. Assists with thebreakdown, and instrument care in the Labor and Delivery deck area.

Certified Surgical Technologist Required

• Within 1 Yearof Hire Or Certified Surgical Technologist Required
• Within 12

Months of Completion of Surgical Technology Program Education:

Graduate Surgical Technology Required

• Or Associate’s DegreeSurgical Technology Required
• Or Military

• Surgical TechnologyRequired Experience:

  3 Years Clinical

• Surgical TechnicianRequired In Lieu of Degree
