Overview:

The Surgical Technologist, Service Rep is an alliedhealth professional who is an integral part of the team of medicalpractitioners providing surgical care and applicableinstrumentation to a variety of patient populations. Functionsunder the supervision of the manager or registered nurse to ensurethat the operating room environment is safe, that instrumentationand equipment function properly, and that the operative procedureis conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety. Appliessterile and aseptic technique that combines the knowledge of humananatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation of tools andtechnologies to facilitate a physician’s performance of invasivetherapeutic and diagnostic procedures.

Certified Surgical Technologist Required Education:

HighSchool Diploma or Equivalent Required

• And Graduate SurgicalTechnology Required
• Or Military

• Surgical Technology RequiredExperience:

  6 Months Clinical

• Surgical Technologist Required
• And 1 Year Sterile Processing Preferred
