Through primary care and multispecialty medical practices, the physicians and other health care professionals of NYPMG, in collaboration with ColumbiaDoctors and Weill Cornell Physicians, provide families with high quality, patient-centered care close to home in the New York metropolitan area.

Responsibilities will include:

Observing patients condition, reporting abnormal conditions to staff nurse and recording appropriate documentation in patient’s records. Measure and record patients height and weight, may perform routine vision and hearing examinations, pulse and blood pressure readings. Draws blood from patients and/or performs finger sticks and obtains other specimens as requested by physician or registered nurse. Assists with diagnostic procedures using aseptic principles in creating and maintaining a sterile field during procedures. Uses technical skills regarding positioning, wound care, and dressings. Maintaining stock items for examination and blood drawing rooms, forms used by clinical staff, etc. Performs other job-related duties as required. This is a full time Monday-Friday 40 hour work week. Must be flexible to work shifts between 7:00am-7:00pm. Overtime as needed based on operational needs. May be required to work at other Hudson Valley Medical Group practices based on operational needs. Located at Cortlandt Manor-1978 Crompond Road and Cold Spring-1756 Route 9D offices depending on schedule. Not easily accessible with public transportation.

Required Criteria:

1 + years of experience as a Medical Assistant. High School diploma or

GED Preferred Criteria:

Graduate of a State and/or Nationally accredited Medical Associate Program Certification as a Medical Assistant Experience working within an OBGYN woman’s healthcare setting.
