Description:
Surgical Technicians are allied health professionals.
Their role is to create and maintain the sterile field. Theyassemble and hand instruments to the surgeon. Some OR nurses mayhave additional training in scrubbing. PACU/Recovery Room Nursesspecialize in post-operative care. The patient population includespediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. There areseveral OR suites including ENDO and PACU. A dress code isrequired, including hospital-provided scrubs and closed-toe shoes.
Perfumes or colognes are not allowed, and facial piercings mustcomply with policies. Prior travel experience is preferred. NBSTSAequivalent certificate may be accepted.
