Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Transports and provides for the needs of patients and clinicians related to surgery. Maintains inventory and preparedness for care of patient. Assists in the cleaning of the surgical suite between patients, coordinates care in a manner to facilitate timely surgical procedures. Position may require call shifts with a response time of 30 minutes.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education and/or experience: Prefer high school diploma or equivalent. BLS or Heartsaver certification within 6 months of hire.
Knowledge:
Must be detail oriented, attentive to quality control. Customer and personal service a must to meet customer needs.
Skills:
Assist the Nurse, Surgical Technician in the care of patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. Supports the nurse with the preparation of the patient before and after surgery.
Abilities:
Demonstrated ability in crisis management, decision making, communication skills, and promotion of inter-disciplinary cooperation.
