Reports to:
Director of ICU/PCU Responsibilities of the Position Performs continual surveillance of multiple monitors. Identifies significant arrhythmias and/or signs of patient distress and intervenes appropriately. Identifies and corrects for artifacts. Reports abnormal assessment and telemetry findings or changes in patient physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Tests equipment for proper working order. Reports equipment problems to supervisor. Other tasks and duties as assigned. Minimum Education High school diploma or equivalent is required. Certifications/Licenses Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required within 30 days of hire. Required Skills Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Work Experience Certified Nursing Assistants are preferred.
