Monitor Tech,TelemetryDepartment Job Type:

Full-Time,NightShift Under the supervision of an RN, performs telemetry monitoring. Core competencies include, but are not limited to the following:

• Performs continual surveillance of multiplemonitors.
• Readstelemetry test strips and places them in the patient charts at requiredintervals.
• Identifiessignificant arrhythmias and/or signs of patient distress and intervenes appropriately.

Identifiesandcorrects forartifacts.

• Reports abnormal assessment and telemetry findings or changes in patient physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursingstaff.
• Tests equipment for proper working order. Reports equipment problems to supervisor.
