Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Bayside Women’s Health Fairhope, AL 36532 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Sonographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations and providing critical diagnostic information to assist in patient care. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical imaging techniques, particularly in the fields of obstetrics and gynecology (Ob/Gyn) as well as diagnostic radiology. The Sonographer will play a vital role in ensuring patient comfort and safety while delivering accurate imaging results. Responsibilities Perform ultrasound examinations on patients, ensuring high-quality images are captured for diagnostic purposes. Utilize appropriate sonographic techniques to assess various anatomical structures and physiological functions. Maintain patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process, providing clear instructions and support. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to discuss findings and contribute to patient care plans. Ensure proper maintenance of ultrasound equipment and adhere to aseptic techniques during procedures. Document examination results accurately in patient records and communicate findings effectively with the medical team. Stay updated on advancements in sonography practices and participate in ongoing professional development. Skills Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology relevant to sonography. Proficiency in sonography techniques and medical imaging practices. Familiarity with Ob/Gyn procedures and diagnostic radiology principles.
