Ultrasound Technologist:
The ultrasound technologist performs a variety of ultrasound scanning and imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical ultrasound procedures that require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ultrasound for ultrasound diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required. Performs all specialty areas of ultrasound exams to include assisting radiologists with procedures.? Prepares and reviews images for radiologist / physician interpretation for diagnostic purposes.? Requirements:
Experience:
Required:
Registered in vascular
Required:
RDMS, ARRT
(US), or CCI certification or registry eligible with knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and not less than 6 months practical ultrasound experience.
Required:
Appropriate registry in practicing ultrasound specialty or be registry eligible and actively pursuing registry in practicing ultrasound specialty.
Required :
Completed required hours of continuing education per certification or annual period to satisfy ARDMS, ARRT, and federal requirements, as well as other accrediting agencies applicable.
Required:
CPR Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
