SONOGRAPHER
Responsible for providing ultrasound services to gynecological and obstetrical patients.
The ideal candidate is an energetic team player with effective time management and customer service skills.
Our Practice
We address the health care needs of women throughout all stages of life.
We provide preventative care, including well woman and prenatal care, and we deliver babies for both normal and high-risk patients.
Our skilled team of highly trained professionals includes 12 board-certified physicians, five nurse practitioners and 8 advanced practice providers which include 3 PA’s and 5 APRN’s.
We are pleased to provide state-of-the-art in-house ultrasound services, innovative menopause management therapies, and an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. North Florida Women’s Care is Tallahassee’s premier women’s health medical group.
We’ve provided obstetric and gynecologic services for 32 years. We’ve received Tallahassee’s award for “Best Ob/Gyn Practice” every year since 2011, and were the 2013 Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce’s prestigious “Business of the Year.”

A short drive from our oak-lined canopy roads are the Gulf of Mexico’s white sand beaches. Position Responsibilities Abilities Requirements Ability to explain technical procedures and results to patients in a friendly manner Ability to calm patients who may be nervous about the procedure
Ability to use correct body mechanics to appropriately assist patients
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to multitask efficiently and effectively
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, management and peers
Ability to competently use Microsoft Office and an EMR system
Review patient’s medical history and physician’s instructions
Prepare equipment and select settings
Explain procedure to patient and record any medical history relevant to the condition being reviewed. Direct patient to move into positions for the best view
Spread gel on skin to aid transmission of sound waves
Operate special equipment to direct nonionizing, high-frequency sound waves into areas of the patient’s body
View the screen during the scan, looking for visual clues that contrast healthy areas with unhealthy ones.
Select images to show to the physician for diagnostic purposes
Take measurements, calculate values and analyze results in preliminary reports for physicians
Keep patient records and maintain strict confidentiality
Adjust/maintain equipment
Comply with safety, infection control and quality improvement policies/procedure
