The role you’ll contribute:
The Perinatal Sonographer is a member of a multidisciplinary team working to evaluate, diagnose and manage maternal and fetal conditions during pregnancy. This role requires a solid diagnostic ultrasound skill set and medical knowledge of multi-system fetal developmental abnormalities. The sonographer must be able to provide patient care that is compassionate, appropriate, and effective. Ensure a safe and comfortable experience for the patient during the study. Create and edit orders in the electronic medical record. Create patient records in the sonography reporting software system. Create sonographer reports in the sonography reporting software system and enter requisite data. Demonstrate timeliness in completion of studies and documentation.

  • The sonographer must demonstrate knowledge of the requisite biotechnological and biomedical sciences, as well as application of this knowledge to patient care.
  • Optimize US settings for image acquisition.
  • Differentiate normal from abnormal fetal anatomic development.
  • Identify sonographic aneuploidy markers.
    The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
    Minimum qualifications:
  • Graduation from a school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography; or high school diploma or GED
  • clinical ultrasound/vascular experience as approved by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in OB/Gyn
  • 3 experience in perinatal sonography
  • BCLS
  • Basic Life Support
DL NUMBER
  • Driver License, Valid and in State issued by Department of Motor Vehicles
  • RDMS-OB
  • Registered Diagnostic Med Sonographer-Ob granted by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
  • (OBGYN) ARDMS or ARRT
  • Obstetrics and Gynecology
    Preferred qualifications:
  • Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonography Experience
  • NT credential
