Orlando, FL /n /n/n /n The role you’ll contribute: /n /n/n /n TheVascular Ultrasound Technologist, under general supervision,performs a wide range of Sonography and Vascular Sonographyprocedures in accordance with department protocols, contributing tothe delivery of high-quality diagnostic information for thetreatment and prognosis of vascular disorders and other medicalconditions. This role operates at a technical level, conductingultrasound procedures across a broad spectrum of patient ages, fromneonatal through geriatric, ensuring high-quality exams forinterpretation by medical professionals such as Cardiologists andclinic physicians. In addition to routine diagnostic tasks, theVascular Ultrasound Technologist assists physicians withinterventional procedures, employing ultrasound as a guidance toolwhere necessary. The role demands a comprehensive understanding ofboth departmental and hospital policies and procedures relevant tothe field of Sonography and Vascular Surgery. The VascularUltrasound Technologist is expected to exercise independentjudgment, ingenuity, and initiative in performing diagnostic scans,selecting practical applications and technical factors, andassuming responsibility for designated areas or procedures.

Engagement in the performance improvement program is essential, asis adherence to the Corporate Compliance Plan and all rules andregulations of applicable local, state, and federal agencies andaccrediting bodies. This position emphasizes the importance ofoutstanding customer service, maintaining relationships that areequally respectful to all, and occasionally entails teaching anddirecting the work of other staff and students. ExamSupervision and Administration:

Consistently obtains the highestquality scans possible in relation to patient body habitus and/orNPO prep status as observed by Radiologists, Ultrasound Educator,and Ultrasound Manager. /n /n/n /n

Diagnostic Image Quality andDocumentation:

Reviews all images on ultrasound machine or Web andthoroughly fills out Ultrasound worksheet in a timely manner.

Re-scans patient as requested by Radiologist. /n /n/n /n

PersonalProductivity and Accountability:

Completes exams in a timelymanner. Properly and consistently evaluates patient prep status andschedules exam accordingly. /n /n/n /n

Data Processing:

Utilizescomputer system to update exam status, cancel/update orders asneeded. Ensures charges match procedure completed. Confirms properexam/patient assignment at QC before releasing images to PACS forinterpretation. /n /n/n /n

Operates and maintains ultrasound equipment in a safe manner.
