Ultrasonographer 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars 1307 East Osceola Parkway, Kissimmee, FL 34744 The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of technical activities associated with the performance of screening and diagnostic mammography procedures. Essential Job Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Perform a variety of tasks involving the operation of ultrasound equipment and other equipment/devices as appropriate. Position patients, using immobilization when necessary. Calculate exposure factors, assist physicians. Perform the quality control functions related to ultrasound. Evaluate radiographs for diagnostic quality obtaining additional images as needed. Prepare and set up medical supplies using aseptic techniques if appropriate. Explain procedures to patients. Develop ultrasound film. Match with the appropriate paperwork for interpretation. Assist in maintenance and compilation of statistical data. Demonstrate proficiency in performing all ultrasound procedures, to include interventional procedures and ultrasound. Act in a team leader capacity on a routine basis. Monitor ultrasound section procedures and supply charges to ensure completeness and accuracy. Perform other related duties incidental to the work therein. Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Required Education and Experience ARDMS Registered. ARDMS Abdominal Mammography required. BLS certification 1 year of experience Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography and/or Vascular accredited program. Bilingual English/ Spanish preferred Relevant or any other job-related vocational coursework.
