Your tasks and responsibilities as UltrasoundTechnologist include but are not limited to: Prepare and position patients and equipment in a safe,competent manner Obtain and document a complete patient history as it relates tothe procedure ordered, and obtain informed consent in accordancewith departmental policy and procedure Maintain statistical results for quality improvement Communicate effectively with patient providing explanation ofprocedures within scope of practice and with radiologists regardingany unusual clinical findings, history, test results,etc.

Qualifications A two-year Associate Degree in Diagnostic MedicalSonography Valid registry through ARDMS with RVT, AB, or OB/GYNspecialty/ies Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification 1-3 years previous experience as Ultrasound Technologist(Sonographer) Organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations,mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, computer (MEDITECH),and clerical skills Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and followverbal instructionsHCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital is locatedin Sarasota County, FL.
