Vascular Ultrasound Technician Dominion Vascular Surgical Specialists Lake Mary, FL 32746 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Vascular Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing non-invasive vascular diagnostic evaluations, utilizing advanced sonography techniques to assess vascular health. This role is critical in providing accurate and timely diagnostic information to assist in patient care within a Level II trauma center environment. Duties Conduct comprehensive vascular ultrasound examinations, including Doppler studies, to evaluate blood flow and vascular conditions. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret diagnostic results and develop patient care plans. Maintain accurate patient records, documenting procedures performed and results obtained in accordance with medical protocols. Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and prevent infection during procedures. Demonstrate proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology relevant to vascular technology. Monitor patients’ vital signs and telemetry during procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the examination process. Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advancements in vascular technology and emergency medicine practices. Experience Previous experience as a Vascular Technologist or in a similar role is preferred. Strong knowledge of sonography principles, lab practices, and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Familiarity with emergency medicine protocols and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations within a healthcare setting. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and healthcare team members effectively.
